Every year, based on the number of places being offered in a program, and the competition for these places, an entry overall position (OP) or tertiary entrance rank (TER) cut-off is determined for each program.

OPs are calculated on a scale or 1 to 25, a score of 1 being the highest. TERs are calculated on a scale of 1 to 99.99, where 99.99 is the highest.

Students who achieve the requisite score below, except where a program is quota limited, meet pre-requisite and English language proficiency requirements will be made an offer for the following year.

Initial offers for UQ programs will be made using the entry requirements set out in the table below. It is important that you apply for a second preference in case you are not eligible for entry into your program of first preference.

What if I don't get an offer in the first round?

If your application is unsuccessful in the first round of offers (December), you may be considered in a second offer round (January). Not all programs listed below will offer a second round.

To be considered for an alternative preference in the second round please email yr12international@uq.edu.au stating your student number (if known), your full name, date of birth and program preference.

Should you meet the entry requirements and pre-requisites for the round at this time and offer will be made.
