Keeping in touch

We would love for you to keep in touch with UQ after your graduation. Below are some ways to keep in contact:

UQ Alumni

When you graduate from The University of Queensland you become part of a global network of over 150,000 alumni. UQ believes that maintaining excellent relations with alumni is mutually beneficial and since its beginnings the University has provided a means for graduates to keep in touch with their discipline and colleagues through a varied series of events and activities.

UQ alumni groups gather around the world, renewing friendships and taking an active role in the rich community life of UQ through social, educational and intellectual activities organised by the groups and the Development Office. It is in the interest of all alumni to ensure UQ stays a world class institution, attracting the best and brightest and making research breakthroughs that benefit the community, because that is what value-adds to the prestige of a UQ degree. refer to the Alumni website for more information.

Registered Alumni are kept informed of social, educational and intellectual activities organised by Alumni Networks and the University. Registration is free. To join an association, simply register online

When you move in the future, make sure you complete the Contact Details Form on the alumni website. This will ensure that you are kept up-to-date with relevant events and functions and continue to receive Graduate Contact magazine.

Support for UQ graduates and Alumni

After graduation, you may still be able to access UQ Library resources. For new UQ graduates and Alumni, your first year of Library membership after graduation is absolutely free! The membership commences with the end of the semester on which you complete your program and extends for 12 months. For more information including how to apply, see the Library website. Australian Alumni networks

In addition to the University of Queensland Alumni networks, you are also eligible to join and contact general Australian Alumni networks in your own country. This may help you with business and job opportunities back home and around the world, and may provide a network of support with other graduates who have studied in Australia, and returned home as alumni.
