1.       Initiation Phase

Required for all projects that meet the minimum criteria set by your organisational unit.

 

1.2     Obtain Sign-off

    Cancel Project     (if it is evaluated and rejected)

or Put on Hold          (specify the date it can be reconsidered for evaluation)

or Proceed to Planning Phase

 

2.       Planning Phase

2.1     Business Case

 

2.2     Feasibility Study

 

2.3     Detailed Project Plan

 

2.4     Pilot with User Base

 

2.5     Obtain Sign-off

    Cancel Project (if it is evaluated and rejected)

or Proceed to Execute and Control Phase

 

3.       Execute and Control Phase

·          Give the team the instruction to start work.

·          Book regular meetings for project team and steering committee.

·          Start producing status reports.

4.       Closure Phase

When the recorded deliverables are met, the client or manager signs the filed charter / plan and the project can be reviewed and handed over to operational responsibility.
