Charles Hunt

Charles Hunt is a higher-degree researcher funded by a scholarship provided by the AFP. He holds a BSc. (Joint Honours) in Political Science & Economics and MA in International Studies, both from the
University of Birmingham, UK. He spent eighteen months as a Research Associate at the
Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Accra, Ghana – engaged in research, training and policy development on a wide range of peacekeeping-related issues. He subsequently worked as a consultant with the
African Union and
ECOWAS, on projects concerned with developing the civilian dimension of the nascent African Standby Force and enhancing the role of police in peace operations, respectively. Charles joined the project in late 2007. His research focus includes the
Evaluation of Police in Peace Operations. Charles’ previous publications include:
