Apple University Consortium sends UQ ICT students to the USA
Congratulations to UQ School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE) students Andrew Dekker, Scott Jackson, Justin Marrington and Kim Hunter who have each received funding from the Apple University Consortium to attend the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco from June 6-10.
Every year Apple hosts a World Wide Developers Conference in California, USA, where over 5000 people attend to discover the latest innovations and developments the organisation will be focussing on in the next 12 months.
The World Wide Developers Conference provides MacOS and iOS programmers and developers with the opportunity to network directly with Apple Engineers and provide feedback on their products and programs.
Only 20 university students throughout Australia and New Zealand were awarded scholarships to attend the 2011 World Wide Developers Conference. Of these 20 scholarships, four were awarded to UQ ICT students.
