The UQ School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering offers professional development workshops for high school teachers that are designed to enhance and incorporate:
  • Analytical and problem solving skills through the Science and Math curriculum, and 
  • Tips and ideas for student projects.

The teacher workshops have been designed to offer in-service ICT and robotics training for teachers who are keen to support their students to actively participate in the area of ICT and robotics.

CS4HS - Computer Science for High Schools - 2-day PD Workshop for Teachers sponsored by Google

The UQ CS4HS Workshop is a free professional development program for teachers with an interest in ICT/Computer Science. The program will run over two consecutive days, with a follow-up session a few months after the actual workshop.

Robotics Workshops for Teachers

The Robotics Workshop for Teachers has been designed to offer in-service robotics training for teachers who are keen to support their students to actively participate in the area of robotics. The three-hour workshop combines the Introduction to Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Workshops and covers topics such as programming robots using modifiers, events, containers, task split, infinite and finite loops.

Technology in Education - Full-day PD Workshop for Teachers

UQ ICT is offering a full-day professional development workshop for teachers in January 2013. The day will consist of interactive seminars and hands-on activities. Draft program will be available in late 2012 (program of the 2011 ICT PD Day is still listed below). 

Limited to 30 places.
