Bachelor of Information Technology
The Bachelor of Information Technology builds a solid foundation in software and hardware through first-class teaching and industry-focused projects.
UQ offers the following majors that are designed to provide typical career outcomes in information technology and related fields.
Bachelor of Multimedia Design
The Bachelor of Multimedia Design is a studio-based program providing students with the knowledge and skills to become the designers, architects and implementers of highly sophisticated multimedia experiences. Areas included in Multimedia Design are graphic design, digital video production, 3D modelling, internet authoring, game design and human-computer interaction.

ICT & Bachelor of Engineering
The UQ Bachelor of Engineering degree is highly regarded and provides students with excellent employment prospects. We emphasise the development of graduates with skills in communication, teamwork, project management, problem solving, as well as technical expertise. Students can choose from 18 engineering specialisations/study areas (single, dual and extended majors).
The flexible first year plan offers students the opportunity to experience the many flavours of engineering before deciding on a specialisation prior to the start of their second year.

ICT & Bachelor of Science
The Bachelor of Science is a flexible program designed to accommodate a wide variety of career aspirations. When combined with core information technology courses, the program structure has the ability to include components of virtually all areas of science and information technology. The range of courses offered means students can tailor a program to their individual needs and interests and select course combinations from both science and information technology disciplines.
ICT & Bachelor of Arts
Bachelor of Arts students can choose from nearly 50 majors (areas of study) depending on their career aspirations. Studying an Information Technology major in the Bachelor of Arts allows you to combine this area with studies in the humanities or social sciences. Students learn aspects of computer design and usage, including information systems, practical programming skills, computer networking, and the human–computer interface.
