2007 ICT Competition Winner - Lauren Carr

Lauren Carr's entry raises interesting questions about the social and personal impact of technology:

• How close can tactile interfaces get to real human touch?
• What does it actually mean to connect through touch?
• And how far do our current levels of technology go in terms of letting us connect to others?

We're working on many fascinating aspects of the human side of ICT at the University of Queensland and the next 10 years until 2018 > will be an exciting time to be part of that. Lauren's design concept, combining both IT and electrical engineering as we do, captures this well.
