ICT Connects @ UQ is an initiative of the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE) at The University of Queensland, which aims to demonstrate the application of ICT in various walks of life. ICTConnects @ UQ is designed for secondary school students and consists of a 90 minute session allowing the students to realise the diverse and interesting ICT connections in their daily lives.

The workshops are designed to enable students to:

  • Get a better understanding of Information & Communications Technology
  • Explore career opportunities in ICT related fields

This is achieved through:

  • Computer-based activities, and
  • Hands-on problem solving activities.
Location: Boeing Lab (208), General Purpose South Building (78), St Lucia Campus, School of Information Technology & Electrical Engineering
When: By appointment. Terms 1 & 2: Tuesdays and Fridays, terms 3 & 4: Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.00am-11.00am.
Time required: 2 hours
Group size: 10 - 30
Age groups: Year levels 10-12 students
Requirements: Closed footwear
