If you’re keen to improve your communication and leadership skills while helping others make informed decisions about university study, then we want you to be a UQ ICT Student Ambassador.


What do UQ ICT Student Ambassadors do?

UQ ICT Student Ambassadors represent UQ ICT at school visits, campus tours, recruitment events and career events such as TSXPO.

Ambassadors work alongside other UQ staff and students and meet with prospective students to help them make informed choices about studying ICT at UQ.


Why should you become a UQ ICT Student Ambassador?

Becoming a UQ ICT Student Ambassador will enable you to:

  • Develop your public-speaking and communication skills when meeting with prospective students
  • Enhance your networking and interpersonal skills at various events throughout the year
  • Get involved in campus life and experience all the great things that UQ ICT has to offer
  • GET SOME CASH! Some of the events you assist with during the year will be paid, others will be voluntary, but all of them will be great fun
  • Receive references and recognition for your contribution to the University (Looks great on your CV!)
  • Most importantly, you’ll be inspiring a whole new generation of students to study UQ ICT
