Research on ancient near eastern history
Professor Bryce has published 15 books (including four with co-authors) and approx. 100 articles and book chapters, primarily on the history and civilizations of the ancient Near East.
Other Activities and Service:
Professor Bryce used to lecture at Queensland University, was a Professor of Classics and Ancient History at the University of New England, a Chairman of the Academic Board at the University of New England and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Lincoln University, New Zealand.
Professor Bryce is a highly respected member of the academic profession and a leading scholar of Hittite Culture and Near Eastern Studies. He is often in demand for public lectures both in Australia and overseas and he has provided valuable help for many RHD students and the staff of Classics and Ancient History.
