Introductory course on the cultural traditions of South and East Asia. Third year seminar courses on History, Time and Meaning (formerly Interpreting History) at the third year level, and History and Theory at the fourth year Honours level.
Research interests
Theory of History. History of Laos. Early Buddhism. History of Ideas.
Current research projects
Evolutionary theory of history. Religious symbolism and the legitimation of power in Laos.
