Classics and Ancient History is part of the School of History, Philosophy, Religion and Classics within the Faculty of Arts. Classics has been part of the curriculum since the 1910s, one of the foundation sections of the Arts Faculty. Classics consists of the Ancient Greek and Roman languages, and the history of the classical Mediterranean civilizations, as well as the Celts.
