Alumni:
HPRC graduates warmly encouraged by the School to become members of the UQ Alumni Association.
The School's primary alumni/community outreach group is Friends of Antiquity; established in 1988 as a special interest group of the UQ Alumni Association to support the Classics and Ancient History Department. The group's activities range from academic to purely social, and include regular seminars, the annual 'Ancient History' Day, literary lunches and other social events.
Alumni can also look out for events on the UQ Alumni Community webpage.
Once your contact details are updated. you can choose to receive emails about seminars, lectures and events.

Outreach Programs:
Queensland Historical Atlas:
The School's largest and most successful outreach project is through the Queensland Historical Atlas, the ARC-Linkage project with the Queensland Museum. The Atlas was launched on 7 December 2010 and can be viewed at www.qhatlas.com.au. It incorporates articles, maps and images, thematically organised to take the viewer upon a colourful, interative and informative tour of Queensland. The QHAtlas is essentially an evolving on-line research forum where quality is guaranteed by academic editorial processes. It presents and allows the exchange of ideas and interpretations about Queensland's historic and cultural landscapes, representing a new and exciting kind of engagement for a scholarly community in an era of expanding digital opportunities and is in line with the School's acknowledgement of the importance of digital Humanities.
Histori|co:
Histori|co Research Services is the consulting arm of the History discipline of the School, providing commercial consultancy services in applied historical research. Industry links have been established with key heritage consultancies working for a range of environmental firms, developers, government bodies and community groups. In 2009-2010, one of the premier projects undertaken was historical research and analysis to assist the Conservation Management Plan at Brisbane’s City Hall. Further details are available from: Dr Geoff Ginn, Executive Director, Histori|co Research Services.
