STAFF FLU PROGRAM

The University of Queensland is once again in 2008 offering full time and part time staff

A FREE FLU VACCINATION

Available at the St Lucia campus. Please contact the Health Services at Gatton or Ipswich if you work at either of these campuses.

Procedure

  1. This flu clinic is for full time or part time staff not casual staff or students.
  2. Your must bring your staff number and University ID card to your appointment.
  3. Please print out and fill in the Consent Form and bring it with you to your appointment.
  4. Read the FAQs and other information at www.flu.com.au (general public). Most concerns that you have about the influenza vaccination are addressed in the FAQs. For general information please see the Flu Brochure (pdf - 451kb) . For in-depth information about current outbreaks and the types of Flu strains which are currently causing a problem see www.influenzacentre.org .
  5. Make an appointment - (Staff only) .
  6. An on-line booking system is in place this year. You need to save your username and password - print these out. You will then be able to cancel a booking, or change a booking to another time.
  7. The flu clinic will be at the following locations:
    St Lucia: The Boardroom, UQ Centre  on various dates from 18/3/2008 - 23/5/2008 see online system for available dates; at the Mayne Medical School Herston and the Dental School Turbot St on 8/4/2008 and at the JKMRC and Princess Alexandra Hospital on 15/4/2008.
  8. If you are at Ipswich or Gatton campuses please contact the Health Service on the appropriate campus for bookings.
  9. Your appointment will be for 5 minutes.
  10. You will need to wait for 10 minutes after the vaccination, before leaving the clinic.
