IMMUNISATION & TRAVEL ADVICE - OVERSEAS TRAVEL ADVICE

Medical staff should be consulted regarding routine immunisation and vaccinations for overseas travel.

  • At least 6 weeks prior to departure for simple overseas trip.
  • 8 to 12 weeks prior to a prolonged overseas trip or to a destination in a more exotic or at risk part of the world

Nursing staff are available to administer prescribed vaccines Monday to Friday between 9am - 12noon, and between 2pm and 3.30pm. Delays are likely outside these hours.

The UHS (at St Lucia campus only) is an accredited Yellow Fever provider. The UHS has access to the Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad (MASTA) www.masta.org for the latest travel advice and conditions for any destination.

  • Sexually transmitted disease including HIV/AIDS occur in all countries.
  • Remember always practice safe sex and don't share needles.
