The University Health Service (UHS) has been providing high quality, health care to the University of Queensland community since 1958.
The UHS is an accredited general practice offering a comprehensive service including general practice for current students, who are our first priority. The St Lucia practice encourages staff to establish a relationship with a community medical practice rather than using the Health Service for general practice services due to limited capacity and student health care being our priority. Ex-students and families of staff members should find their own community GP. Staff are welcome to use the service at Gatton and Ipswich campus for general practice services currently.
Staff are welcome to use any branch of the Health Service including St Lucia if they become accutely ill on campus or for work related issues including vaccinations and travel advice. Visitors to campus can obtain treatment for any urgent/emergency condition at any Health Service branch.
Please be assured that all aspects of
your patient medical records at this practice are confidential and are not disclosed to any other section of this University or any
other party without your written permission unless subpoenaed by a court of law.
Except for emergencies, appointments to see the
doctors are essential.
