Nurses care for people of
all ages who are injured, ill, or disabled. This care includes physical,
psychological and social aspects. Nurses contribute to designing and implementing
programs of care for individuals, provide basic healthcare to populations
within a designated area, and work preventatively with individuals and
groups. Providing advice, information, and education about health are important
parts of nurses' work. Specialist areas include: community health, aged
