"Investing in health research is a gift to your children's future."

Why give to the Faculty of Health Sciences?
The University of Queensland’s Faculty of Health Sciences is at the forefront of global health research.
Faculty researchers have shown their ability to take their research from the laboratory to the bedside. Their work has resulted in new and potential
treatments for a range of major diseases and conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, auto-immune diseases such as arthritis, obesity, multiple sclerosis.
Well-developed research programs, supported by key health partnerships and sponsorships, characterise each of the Faculty’s seven schools –
Dentistry,
Health & Rehabilitation Sciences,
Human Movement Studies,
Medicine,
Nursing and Midwifery,
Pharmacy and
Population Health. The Faculty has purpose-specific research centres focused in a number of key areas, including
ageing,
disability and rehabilitation,
pre-clinical drug development,
veterans' health,
telemedicine and
environmental toxicology.
The key to this success has been partnerships between talented researchers and generous sponsors - inside and outside the health sector. The role of nurturing this relationship is carried out by the
Faculty Advancement Team.
Goals of Development
The goal of development within the Faculty of Health Sciences is to foster mutually beneficial relationships between UQ graduates, business, industry and the broader community. The advancement team aims to maximise philanthropic and industry support by providing an overarching framework designed to provide an integrated and coordinated approach to development activities across all branches within the Faculty of Health Sciences including
sponsoring projects within the faculty and in the
wider community.
