The Bachelor of Health Sciences is an innovative 3-year degree which has a wide variety of options, allowing you to tailor your study to achieve the career YOU want.
This degree prepares you for challenging careers across the whole spectrum of health, in both:
Your studies will provide a broad based knowledge of:
- the Business of Health
- Preventative Health
- Health Management
Your studies will be enhanced in third year, through hands-on experience as part of a unique
Health Industry Work-placement program. This program provides students with a valuable insight into potential careers.
Graduates in Demand
The Bachelor of Health Sciences was developed in close collaboration with the health industry and responds to the need for increasing demand for graduates in Health Prevention and Health Management.
Preferred pathway to Medicine
The Head of UQ’s School of Medicine, Professor David Wilkinson, has recognised the Bachelor of Health Sciences as a preferred pathway into Medicine and for the first time in 2008 a dual Bachelor of Health Sciences/Bachelor of Medicine Surgery will be available.
