Advanced Primary Health Care Centres

The Faculty of Health Sciences has opened two advanced primary health care centres in Southeast Queensland. Centres are operating at Ipswich and Annerley, with another planned for Logan.
The centres offer general practice and specialised services and enable UQ to:
- develop improved models of healthcare delivery
- provide student educational and training opportunities and
- conduct health research.
The interdisciplinary centres are operated by UQ Health Care , a not-for-profit organisation established for this purpose and wholly owned by The University of Queensland. They are being established with $10M in funding through the Federal Government's GP Super Clinics initiative.
