The Library has developed a series of online tutorials for distance students. There are four tutorials:

Module 1: Getting started in the UQ Library

• Access Library information for distance learners
• Navigate the Library web site
• Find the Gatton and External Student Blog
  

Module 2: Finding journal articles

• Identify scientific and trade journals
• Develop a search strategy
• Learn about databases
• Locate these articles in the UQ Library
   

Module 3: Effective internet searching

• Find information using websites and Google
• Critically evaluate internet sources
  

Module 4: Putting it all together

• Evaluate your information
• Cite a range of resource types in the referencing style preferred by your school
• Avoid plagiarism
