AskIT is the Library's computing help and training service for students.

AskI.T. Computer training and assistance: http://askit.uq.edu.au

The University’s AskI.T. service provides free computing advice, support and training for students in all UQ online services (my.UQ, eLearning (Blackboard), mySI-net, myFiles).

AskI.T. provides IT training sessions which are customised for the needs of university students. These training sessions are designed to provide the best practices and ‘know hows’ of using software applications so that you can focus your time and energy on your work.

Training classes for UQ students cover such topics as:

  • using the Windows operating system

  • using the Macintosh operating system

  • online UQ services (including my.UQ and mySI-net)

  • Microsoft Word (2003 & 2007)

  • Microsoft Excel (2003 & 2007)

  • Microsoft PowerPoint (2003 & 2007)

  • file management and version control.
