School and campus visits
To assist students make an informed decision about their tertiary studies options, the Student Recruitment Team offers both school and campus visits throughout the year and also attends a variety of school-based career expos and information evenings. UQ Student Ambassadors assist the team at these events by sharing their experiences about life as a UQ student.
School visits involve a member of the Student Recruitment Team visiting your school to deliver a PowerPoint presentation about programs, services and facilities at UQ and to answer any questions the students may have about their options after high school. The team can tailor individual presentations to the interests and needs of your students.
The team is available to present to students during class time, lunch breaks, or after school. A timeslot of at least 40 minutes is recommended to deliver our presentation and allow for set up and question and answer time.
For more information or to arrange a school visit , please contact the Student Recruitment Team or complete the online booking form.
Campus visits provide students with an opportunity to gain a first hand experience of life at UQ by visiting one of our three world-class campuses. A general visit to UQ would usually last at least two hours and includes a presentation on UQ programs, services and facilities, time for students to ask questions and a campus tour or Scavenger Hunt.
If time permits, a range of other activities and presentations can be incorporated into a campus visit including: a Library or Residential College tour, area-of-study presentations or interactive workshops and seminars offered by UQ faculties and schools and lunch at either a Residential College or at one of our on-campus cafes. (Please note that some activities will incur a cost).
For safety on campus we recommend that all students wear comfortable, closed-in shoes (some activities require such protection) and bring a bottle of water.
