The number of guest tickets available per graduand is determined by venue size. Students attending graduation ceremonies in December 2009 will be allocated a maximum of four guest tickets each.
Nominate the number of tickets you require on the Graduation Application form. Graduands do not require a ticket for themselves.
All guest tickets are free of charge. Please note that if someone other than the graduand is collecting tickets, they must have a letter of authority from the graduand.
Tickets will be available for collection from Thursday 3 December onwards from the following locations:
- St Lucia campus
From the Foyer of the UQ Centre (Building 27A) located on Union Road between 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Tickets can be collected from this location on the day of all ceremonies.
- Ipswich campus
From the Ipswich Student Centre. On Wednesday 9 December tickets for the Ipswich graduations will only be available for collection from the Cunningham Room in the Ipswich Civic Hall after 12.30PM.
- Gatton campus
From the Gatton Student Centre.
- School of Dentistry (Turbot Street)
Graduands from Dental Science programs can collect their tickets from the School of Dentistry Learning Support Office (Room 221 Clinical Building) from Thursday 3 December.
- School of Medicine (Herston)
Graduands from Medicine programs at the School of Medicine at Herston can collect their tickets from the School Office from Monday 8 December.
If you or your guests require a letter of invitation for visa application purposes, please contact Graduations Section.
Remember: If someone is collecting your tickets for you, they must have a letter of authority from you.
Extra Tickets
Extra tickets cannot be guaranteed for graduations as Occupational Health and Safety regulations limit the number of people accommodated by each University graduation venue.
Extra tickets are distributed on a "first come, first served" basis from the Foyer of the UQ Centre (St Lucia ceremonies), the Gatton Student Centre, or the Ipswich Student Centre (Ipswich ceremonies only) on the day before your ceremony. The availability of extra tickets for December 2009 graduation ceremonies will be displayed here one week prior to the commencement of ceremonies.
