All graduands are photographed on stage as they receive their degrees from the Chancellor by
Silver Rose Photography - a private photographic company contracted to the University for this purpose. Information about the services Silver Rose provides for UQ graduates is available
here.
As they leave the stage, graduands are handed details on how to order photographs. Graduation portraits can be taken before or after the ceremony by Silver Rose underneath the
UQ Centre. Similar services are provided for graduands attending the Ipswich and Gatton graduation ceremonies.
Due to space restrictions, graduands are reminded that other commercial photographers are not permitted inside venues and guests are encouraged not to take photographs themselves during the ceremony in consideration of other audience members.
From time to time, the University's
Office of Marketing and Communications will arrange for photographs of honorary doctors, guest speakers and graduates of interest for publication in
UQ News and/or Graduate Contact magazine or for wider marketing purposes.
For information about these photographs, please contact OMC on telephone 07 3365 3367 approximately one week after your ceremony to view proofs and perhaps order copies for your own records.
