Graduations at The University of Queensland

GRADUATION DAY SCHEDULE
The following is a typical graduation day schedule for Ipswich and St Lucia campus ceremonies.

Ipswich

1.30pm onwards	Academic Dress can be collected from the Cunningham Room of the Ipswich Civic Hall (corner of Nicholas and Limestone Streets, Ipswich). Guest tickets can be collected from the Cunnningham Room of the Ipswich Civic Hall. Graduand registration for the ceremony commences in the Cunningham Room of the Ipswich Civic Hall.
3.00pm	The doors to the George Hogg Auditorium will open for the ceremony.
3.45pm	Guests attending the ceremony should be seated inside the George Hogg Auditorium. Graduands should report to the Cunningham Room.
3.55pm	The Graduands will enter the George Hogg Auditorium.
4.00pm	The graduation ceremony commences with the entrance of the Academic Procession.
4.45pm	The ceremony concludes.
5.00pm to 6.00pm	Complimentary Drinks served on the balcony and foyer of the Ipswich Civic Hall for graduands and guests.
7.00pm	The Academic Dress Hire Service closes.

St Lucia

8.30am onwards	Free parking available in the Multi-level carparks (off Sir Fred Schonell Drive) and Conifer Knoll carpark (College Road). Free shuttlebuses operate between the carparks, the Forgan Smith Building and the UQ Centre. Academic Dress for the 11am and 2pm ceremonies can be collected from the Academic Dress Hire Service.
9.00am	The doors to the Foyer of the UQ Centre will open. Tickets for all ceremonies can be collected from the Information Desk in the foyer.
9.30am	Graduand registration for the 11am ceremony commences in the Lecture Theatre of the UQ Centre.
10.00am	The doors to the Hall in the UQ Centre will open for the 11am ceremony.
10.20am	All graduands for the 11am ceremony must report back to the Lecture Theatre.
10.30am	Guests attending the 11am ceremony should be seated inside the Hall.
10.40am	The Graduand Procession for the 11am ceremony will enter the Hall.
11.00am	The graduation ceremony commences with the entrance of the Academic Procession.
12.30pm	The 11am ceremony concludes. Graduates and their guests are invited for refreshments in the marquee on the playing field beside the UQ Centre. Graduand registration for the 2pm ceremony commences in the Lecture Theatre of the UQ Centre.
1.00pm	The doors to the Hall in the UQ Centre will open for the 2pm ceremony.
1.20pm	All graduands for the 2pm ceremony must report back to the Lecture Theatre.
1.30pm	Guests attending the 2pm ceremony should be seated inside the Hall.
1.40pm	The Graduand Procession for the 2pm ceremony will enter the Hall.
2.00pm	The graduation ceremony commences with the entrance of the Academic Procession. Academic Dress from the 11am ceremony should be returned to the Academic Dress Hire Service.
2.30pm onwards	Academic Dress for the 6pm ceremony can be collected from the Academic Dress Hire Service.
3.30pm	The 2pm ceremony concludes. Graduates and their guests are invited for refreshments in the marquee on the playing field beside the UQ Centre.
4.30pm	Graduand registration for the 6pm ceremony commences in the Lecture Theatre of the UQ Centre.
5.00pm	The doors to the Hall in the UQ Centre will open for the 6pm ceremony. Academic Dress from the 2pm ceremony should be returned to the Academic Dress Hier Service.
5.20pm	All graduands for the 6pm ceremony must report back to the Lecture Theatre.
5.30pm	Guests attending the 6pm ceremony should be seated inside the Hall.
5.40pm	The Graduand Procession for the 6pm ceremony will enter the Hall.
6.00pm	The graduation ceremony commences with the entrance of the Academic Procession.
7.30pm	The 6pm ceremony concludes. Graduates and their guests are invited for refreshments in the marquee on the playing field beside the UQ Centre.
9.30pm	Academic Dress Hire Service closes. Last shuttlebuses for the carparks leave the UQ Centre.
