All students eligible to attend the December 2017 graduation ceremonies, will be emailed advice regarding the ordering of tickets on MIDDAY Tuesday 5 December 2017.

The ticketing email will be generated from the University’s preferred supplier, Reed Graduations (https://uq.reedgraduations.com.au/).

GRADUANDS MAY REST ASSURED THEIR TICKETING ALLOCATION WILL REMAIN UNTIL THE CEREMONY START TIME. TICKETS ARE NOT ISSUED ON A FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED BASIS.

***Please note that tickets are not transferable. Eligible graduands who have indicated they are not attending may not pass their allocation on to other graduands. This restriction is necessary as the allocations are made based on attendance numbers. Tickets ordered by non-attending graduands will be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.***

Only students eligible to attend ceremonies in December will be permitted to order tickets. If there has been delay in determining your eligibility to graduate, there may be a delay in your tickets becoming available. If you believe you are eligible to graduate at the July ceremonies, and have not received a ticketing email by close of business Tuesday 5 December, please contact your Faculty to discuss your eligibility. Please ensure you first check your email account thoroughly, including spam folders etc.

Once the above email has been distributed (Tuesday 5 December 2017), graduands will be able to order their (free) guest tickets. Following the ordering process, graduands will receive an email with scannable tickets immediately. Graduands may choose to print their tickets and pass the hard-copies to their guests, or forward the email directly (to their guests).

How are the numbers of tickets per graduand determined?
Graduands do not require a ticket for themselves.
The guest ticketing allocation is determined by the number of graduands likely to attend ceremonies, and considering the seating capacity of the venue. We do our best to maximise the number of tickets provided to each graduand, while ensuring the venue capacity is not exceeded. This is done to ensure compliance with strict fire safety protocols.

What if I have more guests than tickets?
On ceremony day, if there are spare seats identified after the ceremony has commenced, we may invite any additional guests without tickets in the foyer to take a seat in the hall. Please note that this may not be possible at ceremonies with a large number of graduating students.
At St Lucia ceremonies, additional guests are encouraged to view the ceremony from the lecture theatre adjacent to the Exhibition Hall, where the ceremony will be streamed live on to a large screen. Guests who attend ceremonies in the lecture theatre are provided with an excellent view. Please also note that ceremonies held at the St Lucia and Gatton campus will be streamed live on the internet: www.uq.edu.au/graduations/live-broadcast
