Seating arrangements
Graduands have allocated seats to ensure they process onto stage in the correct order. Guest seating is not reserved and is allocated on a "first come, first seated" basis. If you or your guests require special seating arrangements, please contact Graduations. Please note that the University cannot supply you or your guests with wheelchairs.

Please ensure your guests are seated a minimum of 30 minutes before the ceremony commences.

Children and strollers/prams
Graduation is a family event and children are welcome, however please bear in mind that ceremonies can last for 90 minutes and may not be considered captivating by younger children.  Infants who do not require their own seat do not require a ticket. For safety reasons, strollers and prams are not permitted inside the hall but they may be left in the foyer.

What to wear
Smart casual attire is the minimum dress standard for graduands and their guests: for example, shorts, t-shirts, thongs, joggers and other casual clothing or footwear are not considered appropriate. Graduands may wish to take into account that academic gowns are predominantly black, are worn open at the front and also expose the lower arms.
