Please note that the standard ticket allocation for each ceremony is 4 guest tickets per graduand. Graduands do not require a ticket for themselves.
If you will be graduating this year please be aware that you will be assigned to a graduation ceremony based on the home campus of your program and by the faculty which administers your program. In some instances (eg, Arts, Science and Engineering) you may be assigned to a ceremony based on your school or the majors or fields you are studying.
Students graduating from Research Higher Degrees (eg, Master of Philosophy or Doctor of Philosophy) should attend the appropriate ceremony for the School in which they conducted their research. Students completing an MPhil in History would thus attend ceremony 9 while students completing a PhD in Education would attend ceremony 18.
Students graduating from the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees should note that their majors and fields of study may sometimes be taught by Schools that are part of another Faculty (eg, Economics or Human Movement Science). Students in this situation must attend the appropriate ceremony for their degree. In the case of a student completing a Bachelor of Arts double majoring in Economics this would be a Faculty of Arts ceremony and not the School of Economics ceremony within the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law. Similarly, a student completing a Bachelor of Science in the field of Human Movement Science would attend the appropriate Faculty of Sciences ceremony and not the School of Human Movement Studies ceremony within the Faculty of Health Sciences. For more information, please see Important Information for Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Students.
Students graduating from dual programs will be allocated to a ceremony by Graduations Section but (subject to space being available) may attend the ceremony for their other degree instead. For example, a student completing the Bachelor of Business Management/Bachelor of Education dual program would be allocated to the Education ceremony but could elect to attend the Business Management one instead. For more information, please see Dual Degree Graduation.
If you are unsure about which ceremony you may be allocated to, please contact Graduations Section.
