UQ Research Scholarship (UQRS)

UQRS scholarships are awarded to exceptional research higher degree students that are undertaking a research project in one of UQ's research strengths. 

Value: AUD$23,728 per annum (2012 rate).  This rate is indexed annually.

To be eligible, you must:

• be a domestic applicant
• be nominated by your enrolling School/Institute. Candidates can only be nominated twice. The second nomination must be made within 12 months of the first nomination.  The nomination must be before the candidate commences their program or in the first round after they have commenced.  A candidate can be nominated again on confirmation of candidature but only if he/she has been nominated no more than once before.  In instances where the candidate is awarded a scholarship after commencement, there will be no retrospective payments of this scholarship. 
• be in receipt of, or be eligible to receive, an Unconditional Offer of Admission
• not already hold an externally funded living allowance scholarship of equal or greater value
• not be eligible for an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA)
