UQ Association of Postgraduate Students
What is the UQ APS?
The UQ APS is an organisation of postgraduate student representatives and other interested members with the aim of consolidating representation of postgraduates, providing information pertaining to rights of postgraduates, and enriching the postgraduate experience through social events.

Purpose of UQ APS:

To be a representative body for all University of Queensland postgraduate students

To make representations on matters affecting postgraduate students to the University
-
To provide representatives for central university committees
-
To provide advice and advocacy to postgraduate students in matters concerning grievance processes
-
To make representations on behalf of postgraduate students to the community at large
-
To provide a forum for open discussion on matters of general concern to postgraduate students
-
To create opportunities for participation in academic and non-academic activities that promote interactions between postgraduate students across all schools and institutes
-
To encourage the establishment of postgraduate representative bodies in each school, institute or faculty, as applicable.

Membership
All postgraduate students at The University of Queensland have free automatic membership in the UQ APS and are very welcome at all events. To be included on the mailing list for events and meetings, simply send our secretary an email or speak to one of the executive at our next event.
