Applications are invited for the above scholarship, which was established in 1994 by the late Mrs Patricia Aspromourgos in memory of her husband Constantine Aspromourgos.
The scholarship is open to persons who are -
(a) bachelors or masters graduates of this University of not more than 5 years standing; and
(b) undertaking a postgraduate program involving studies which pertain to at least one area of Greek studies (ancient, Byzantine or modern) in language, culture, literature, history, archaeology, society, religion, economy, politics or geography; and
(c) undertaking the program as a student of -
(i) another university acceptable to the committee; or
(ii) this University, provided that some part of the program involves studies at another University.
The scholarship is awarded for a period of one year, on the basis of academic merit of applicants and suitability of the program.
NB: A copy of the winning application will be forwarded to the family of the donor of the scholarship.
Value: The award in 2009 is approximately $3,950.
