You can apply for admission to candidature and for a UQ scholarship (or Australian Postgraduate Award) at any time of the year by using the Application for Admission and Scholarship form. That form asks you to state the day on which you intend to commence your candidature and (if awarded) your scholarship. When completing the form, note that:

• You will be ranked on the Order of Merit List for the year in which you intend to commence your candidature;
• If you intend to commence in the current year, you can expect to receive a formal response from the UQ Graduate School within two weeks of your completed Application for Admission and Scholarship and School Recommendation being received by the Research Higher Degrees Unit;
• If you intend to commence next year, you can expect to receive a formal response from the UQ Graduate School in the first half of December, when the first round of offer letters are issued.
