The Research Higher Degrees Unit administers several current scholarship schemes that are managed by the UQ Graduate School, including
- Australian Postgraduate Award (APA)
- Australian Postgraduate Award Industry (APAI)
- University of Queensland Research Scholarship (UQRS) for commencing candidates
- University of Queensland Research Scholarship (UQRS) for continuing candidates
The Research Higher Degrees Unit also administers several scholarship schemes that are no longer offered but that still have current recipients, including
