General Award Rule 4.3.2 allows the the head of school/institute director to delegate their functions regarding research higher degree (PhD and MPhil) candidates to an academic staff member of the school/institute, subject to the approval of the Dean, UQ Graduate School. The delegate is called the postgraduate coordinator (PGC). The head/director should also allocate the responsibility for research higher degree administration to a dedicated general staff member of the school - the postgraduate administrative officer (PAO). Schools and Institutes are asked to use the Nomination of School/Institute PGC and/or PGAO form whenever there is a new or acting
The information requested on this form enables the Dean, UQ Graduate School to approve a nominee as postgraduate coordinator. It also allows the RHD Unit to update
Finally, the signatures on the delegations form are referred to by Graduate School and RHD Unit staff when verifying signatures on other forms and documents. For that reason, please include scanned sigantures when lodging this form via email. |
