Churchill Fellowships |
The Churchill Trust was established in 1965 to honour the memory of Sir Winston Churchill by awarding overseas research Fellowships.
Applications are now open for the fellowships, worth on average $25,000, which offer people an opportunity to travel overseas and study a topic or issue they are passionate about. The fellowships are open to Australian citizens aged over the age of 18 and are worth on average $25,000.

The Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation (Arrow) |
The Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation (Arrow) is offering a supplementary scholarship for students commencing an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or comparable competitive postgraduate scholarship in 2012.
This biomedical research scholarship will be in the area of leukaemia and/or stem cell therapy. Students must be Australian citizens or have Permanent Residency status.

ANZ Trustees PhD scholarships in medical research |

Kym Broadhurst Bursary for the Visually Impaired |
To assist undergraduate or postgraduate students with visual impairments whose corrected vision is less than 6:60. Preference will be given to a student who is totally blind. Applicants must have maintained an enrolment of at least four units each semester. Postgraduate Research Students may also apply.
Value: $1095 for 2012, tenable for the duration of the program and subject to satisfactory academic progress.

The Dennis Weatherstone Predoctoral Fellowship Program |
Autism Speaks supports global biomedical research into the diagnosis, causes, prevention, and treatment of autism.
Autism Speaks invites applications from predoctoral students interested in pursuing careers in autism research. The Dennis Weatherstone Fellows will work directly with mentors who are leading scientists in autism research. This program supports the growth of a promising cadre of young scientists who will make autism research their chosen field.

DAAD scholarships in Germany |
The DAAD is Germany's largest scholarship-awarding organisation and runs several programs for academic exchange between Germany and Australia. These programs range from short-term exchanges for research or teaching purposes through to doctoral scholarships lasting several years. The scholarships offered by the DAAD are awarded to younger university graduates from all academic disciplines as well as from the fields of music and art.

The Heart Foundation offers a range of awards across a variety of categories for research into heart, stroke and blood vessel disease. Australian Rotary Health |
Australian Rotary Health are currently funding approximately 50 students with research funding totalling over $1,000,000 in medical and mental health research. PhD scholarships in a variety of research areas are offered.
