Note: The Awards process for 2009 is complete. The Awards will recur at a similar time in 2010.
The University of Queensland is committed to achieving and acknowledging outstanding levels of performance in the supervision, mentoring, and training of research higher degree candidates. The Awards were first made in 2000 as a consequence of a proposal by the Student Union Postgraduate Area following the success of the Awards for Excellence in Teaching. The University of Queensland was one of the first Australian institutions to make such awards, which are offered at the discretion of the Awards Selection Committee. Each Award includes a $10,000 prize. The Awards are presented at a ceremony in Research Week.
