Domestic candidates do not pay tuition fees during their research higher degree studies. UQ covers the cost of the research training place for Australian or Permanent Resident research students who do not qualify for a Federal Government place. International candidates are required by the Australian Government to pay tuition fees for all programs, including research higher degree programs. The major tuition fee awards for international research higher degree candidates are the Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) and the University of Queensland International Research Tuition Award (UQIRTA), formerly called the University of Queensland International Research Award (UQIRA). University Faculties may offer tuition fee awards to international students according to their strategic priorities. Refer to the Faculty websites for further information. Other scholarship opportunities for international students can be viewed at the UQ International website. |
