Automatic calibration of soil-water characteristic curves (SWCC)
This little program reads a text (ASCII) file (.dat) with the SWCC data and automatically calculates the best parameters for four models: Brooks and Corey (1964), van Genuchten (1980), Fredlund and Xing (1994), and Pedroso and Williams (2010).
The data file has two columns separated by spaces. The first line of the data file corresponds to the keys for the columns. Either the degree of saturation or the water content can be given for which the keys are Sr and w, respectively. The column for the matrix suction is indicated by the key s.
The following package (.zip) can be extracted anywhere and the autoswcc.exe program can be run. The package contains also four data files (.dat) as examples.
Then, the optimisation can be run by clicking 'Run' in the 'SGA' tab.
