How to purchase software

Information Technology Services (ITS) deliver to the University a central purchasing service for the purchase of applications. Software Licensing and Maintenance negotiate on behalf of the University for the best possible purchasing prices for common applications. The software licensing web page lists the education price for many common applications. In addition the University has a license agreement with Microsoft for the provision of their applications. This agreement is referred to as the CAUDIT agreement. A number of commonly used applications are covered under this agreement. These include:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • Microsoft Office Professional (incl Publisher)
  • Microsoft Visual Studio Pro 2010

How to get help

Should a staff member have a support request this should be logged with the ITS Service Desk. Your call will be recorded and assigned an ITSM case number which will be emailed to you for future reference.  Your case will be prioritized and tracked to ensure SLA response times are met.  The helpdesk should always be the point of contact and staff should not contact computing support officers (CSO) directly.
