Overview
The primary role of the University of Queensland's Gatton Vocational Education Centre (UQG-VEC) is to undertake the development, training, delivery and assessment of rural vocational qualifications including the Queensland Certificate in Agriculture (QCA). Other programs are offered in a variety of formats including single and dual qualifications that span across academic and vocational outcomes.
UQG-VEC is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Number 1511) located at UQ’s Gatton Campus.
Mission Statement
The mission of the UQG-VEC is to achieve State and National recognition for excellence in training and assessment programs leading to awards in rural and related vocational training within the Vocational Educational and Training Sector (VET).
UQG-VEC Code of Practice
UQG-VEC has developed a Code of Practice to address and establish our commitment to the maintenance of high standards in the provision of vocational education and training. This Code of Practice pervades all policies and procedures and it is a requirement of employment that all staff abide by it.
