Full Description:: The Edge Leadership Series connects UQ students with inspirational leaders, who will share their unique personal and professional journeys with you.

For the past seven years, David has been in leadership roles at the Rio Tinto Brisbane office, with the key focus to continually improve team performance by increasing quality, saving time and decreasing costs.

David’s career within the commercial functions of large corporations has spanned eighteen years, and has included employment with: BHP; Shell; Tourism Queensland; and Rio Tinto. His career has included highlights working within corporate offices, as well as operating sites such as Port Kembla Steelworks and Brisbane Market Mill at Acacia Ridge.

Also presenting will be Brett Graham, a University of Queensland student who went on a 12 week work experience placement with Rio Tinto under David's guidance, and wound up with full time employment with Rio Tinto.
