Title: Behaviourally relevant dendritic integration in retinal and neocortical circuits.
Abstract: In vitro studies have shown that active dendritic integration extends the computational repertoire of central neurons. It remains unknown if active dendritic integration is engaged physiologically and what impact it has on neuronal circuit function. We are investigating these issues by studying the output neurons of neocortical and retinal circuits.
