Full Description:
The Institute for Molecular Bioscience is an outstanding research Institute at UQ and one of the Asia Pacific region's leading research institutes. The IMB's mission is to decipher the information contained in the genes, proteins and molecules of humans, animals and plants. By understanding the development process and aspects that go awry in complex diseases, IMB aims to develop pharmaceutical and cellular therapies, technologies and diagnostics to prevent or treat such diseases.

This event is suitable for undergraduate students who are considering undertaking an Honours program in the areas of Genomics and Computational Biology, Molecular Genetics and Development, Molecular Cell Biology and Chemistry and Structural Biology.

Students will hear about IMB, meet IMB researchers, see IMB facilities, learn about IMB scholarships for Honours students, discuss available projects and find out how to apply.

Light refreshments will be provided.
