Full Description:
This seminar is part of the Australian Infectious Diseases Research Centre series. It will be presented by Pei-Yong Shi, Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases, Singapore.

Pei-Yong Shi is Head of the The Disease Biology Unit at the Novartis Institute for Tropical Disease. He is leading a large team developing drug candidates for dengue. His group developed the first infectious clone of the epidemic strain of West Nile virus, discovered flavivirus RNA cap methylation activities, identified RNA elements essential for flavivirus replication, and established novel platforms that have been used to screen and study inhibitors of flaviviruses.
