Event Description
- Full Description:
- In association with the 'Desert Country' exhibition, please join our seminar exploring contemporary approaches to working with Indigenous communities and collections in South Australia and Queensland, and hear about the community engagement initiatives Glasgow museums have successfully implemented over the past 30 years.
Attendance at this seminar will contribute towards the required 30 hours of Continuing Professional Development for teachers. Certificates of participation will be provided. The seminar complements the focus in the new Australian curriculum 'The Arts' on developing and enriching student learning by providing professional development experiences for teachers that value cultural diversity and ongoing professional renewal. This seminar supports understanding of Indigenous perspectives and protocol. We welcome participation in the seminar from teachers of other high school disciplines.
