Event Description

Full Description:
The workshop Family, Work and well-being over the Life Course, to be held at the University of Queensland on 20 and 21 October, will bring together Australian researchers and policy-makers to examine changes to work and family life over the past decades.

The workshop will focus on how these changes operate at these three stages of the life course:

- the transition to adulthood (18 - 30)
- mid-life (30 - 50) and
- older Australians (50+).

The Academy of the Social Sciences (ASSA) workshop will be presented by the Institute for Social Science Research and the School of Social Science at the University of Queensland, in cooperation with the Social Policy Research Centre at the University of New South Wales.

For more information about the Academy’s workshop program contact Professor Bob Wood on 03 93498243 or Dr John Beaton on 02 62491788
