Grew up in Sydney, Dr Williams completed his M. Ph. at UNE, PhD at the University of Hong Kong, and is currently a fellow at Western Sydney University. He is also a founding member of the Chinese Australian Historical Society. The book is the classic on the qiaoxiang links between Australia and Zhongshan, China
