Workers who spend long hours seated at a desk and working in laboratories have a high-risk of acquiring ergonomic strains and other injuries. These result from repetitive movements, sitting in awkward positions, straining neck, and static postures. The HSW Division has developed a workstation assessment template in iAuditor for Safety Coordinators to undertake ergonomic assessments of workers in their area to promote neutral postures, comfortable seating, right lighting level, and proper positioning of items and devices.

OHS Managers and Safety Coordinators are invited to a practical workshop to support implementation and use of the new assessment tool for workers in their area. Don’t forget to bring your iPad with your iAuditor account!
